Our focus is on Education and training

Our focus is on Education and training and for this reason We Care would like to convert certain parts of the building into:

1. Library whereby learners will be able use the facility to read educational books, research and also to complete any home tasks received by the Educator after school. Most of our children lack a stable quiet home to complete these due to most parents and guardians abuse of alcohol which results into children have to neglect their school work and finally have to drop out due to loss of interests.

Therefore putting in place a library and a venue to complete homework is of utmost importance and urgent as we need to see progress in the community and also to assist school educators achieving their goal.
For this we’ll need educational and reading books as resources for our clients. We intend approaching the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality for assistance and donations from other businesses, schools and privileged individuals.

2. Computer Centre for our under-privileged scholars and students in Primary and Secondary Schools as well as unemployed community members to gain reasonable/practical knowledge on how to use a Personal Computer. Computer classes will be presented to the community during certain times (this will be planned by the We Care Education and Training Officer in due course) so job seekers too can find the job they’ve been looking for.
It will also be used to assist Scholars and Students to browse the Web as part of their homework to complete assignments which requires browsing the “Net”
